July 19, 2018 - July 21, 2018

La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival 2018

Touted as the “World’s First Social Action in Fashion Film Forum” and “The Cannes of the Fashion Film World” the La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival will be held at La Jolla, California from July 19 – 21.

Entering its 9th year, this year’s festival will focus on the ethical and sustainability dilemmas surrounding the global fashion industry. With increasing awareness of fashion’s questionable labour practices and growing environmental problems, the festival will explore how fashion films can be utilised as an effective medium in which to explore and communicates these issues and be a part of the solution.

The event will begin with two presentations from fashion film pioneers, Tsaili Rogers, a Native American director/producer specialising in fashion films, and Paloma Diaz Soloaga, author, researcher and one of the world’s foremost experts on fashion films and its cultural significance. They will share ideas on how films can serve to inspire positive social action and a more conscious fashion business model.

After the presentations, there will be breakout sessions where attendees will have the opportunity to chat with the speakers on a more personal level.

This fashion film forum is strictly invitation only. To request an invitation or for further information, click here.
