“To transform the world, we must be financially sustainable. Operating from a good heart but being flat broke limits one’s potential. Including ours.” – Jennifer Nini, Founder and Editor-in-Chief
While our media brand focusses on the topic of sustainability, we cannot operate this business sustainably without receiving monies. While we would love to be 100% reader-supported, we know that that the internet has also nurtured an expectation that information should be free and people are increasingly unwilling to pay for it.
This is why we must accept advertising and promotional dollars and work with sponsors, brands and advertisers, even if some readers hold the view that we shouldn’t because it’s perpetuating consumerism and materialism. We find that this is too simplistic a viewpoint and doesn’t take into account the need to pay writers, buy software programs and cover other business expenses.
We do want to support the good work businesses are doing in the space and work with advertisers who meet our ethical standards.
In a perfect world, we wouldn’t even need to be communicating on the topics of sustainability, responsible manufacturing, business ethics, green living, feminism, social justice issues and the like.
In a perfect world, Eco Warrior Princess would be 100% reader-supported.
But we don’t live in a perfect world.
Thus we will continue our mission to provide media that matters, and do so by continuing to pursue a business model that is both ad-supported and reader-supported.
If you love the work we’re doing and want to help keep us as ad-free as possible, please donate to support our work or become a Patreon supporter. You can learn more about what we do with your donations here.
Affiliate links
This media site contains affiliate marketing and links such as display advertising or links within the body copy. This means that if you click on a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission, referral fee or some other form of compensation. As you may have already guessed, every little bit helps to sustain our publishing activities and pays for costs such as website hosting, email hosting and domain services.
It also makes it possible for us to support a team of writers and admin staff so that we can continue to provide you with content that is well-researched, well-written and most importantly, free.
We only endorse products that are in line with our personal ethics and the general themes of this site. All opinions are honest, unbiased and free from commercial concerns. Any compensation received will be made clear on all posts, but will not unduly influence the blog content, topics or posts.
This website also uses cookies including third party cookies. By using this website you consent to the use of these cookies.
We believe in financial sustainability
We are extremely grateful if you decide to use our links to buy products or join affiliate programs. It means that you support what we do, value the information we provide and that you appreciate the amount of coordination and work involved in producing Eco Warrior Princess.
So if you’re an ethical fashion influencer or sustainable fashion blogger and interested in earning some money by promoting ethical brands or if you’re running an ethical business and would like to increase online sales, I recommend checking out these affiliate programs:
We belong to these programs and can recommend them. We also make a commission if you sign up with some of them. Every little bit of money we make helps us cover our growing operational costs!
We also use MailChimp to help us deliver weekly newsletters. It is a fuss-free email software provider that allows to keep in touch with our growing community of eco-conscious members. I recommend this software provider if you’re a blogger or brand looking to connect with your subscribers. If you sign-up using our link here, we would be so very grateful!
You might also want to check out Dream Host for your hosting needs. They’ve supported something like 1.5 millions websites since they launched in 1996 so they’re probably a good place to start! I’ve been recommended Dream Host many times but I still use Crazy Domains myself (not for long though…) which is an Australian hosting provider but I don’t recommend them just based on how many issues I’ve had with the site being down. Just being truthful.
Sponsored posts
From time to time, we may feature a promotional post in which we receive money or fees. This is called a sponsored post. If we write a sponsored post this will be clearly marked and flagged as such. We reserve the right not to post a relevant story in all circumstances. We believe in upholding high standards of integrity and will not ‘endorse’ any product or service that does not meet these standards.
Opinions presented on the site are those expressed by individual writers and while articles are edited to ensure that they fit in with the style, tone and expectations of our readers, opinions expressed do not necessarily reflect that of Eco Warrior Princess.
Eco product reviews
Eco Warrior Princess conducts product reviews and we receive gifts and other products that we believe our readers will be interested in learning about. Some of these products are gifted as part of paid sponsorship and others are not, and when publishing a review, we will disclose this. All opinions expressed in a product review are that of the writer’s and do not necessarily represent the views of Eco Warrior Princess.
All product reviews whether paid or otherwise are honest and free from commercial influence or bias. We reserve the right to refuse to accept any products and gifts that are not in line with our ethos.
