While there are many businesses and consumers in the ethical and sustainable community refusing to partake in the American-founded sales days ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Cyber Weekend’, there are others who rely on the discounts offered on these days in order to afford what they need.

Marginalised communities, low-income households and budget-conscious individuals and families are often priced out of the ‘sustainability market’ and Black Friday offers them a chance to access responsibly-made products and feel good about supporting a conscious business that they may not have been able to afford otherwise.
