Leading Hemp Underwear Brand WAMA Expands Its Range to Include Bralettes

Launched in 2017, pioneering hemp brand WAMA Underwear built a solid reputation on responsibly producing a range of classic and comfy underwear for men and women made from a blend of certified organic hemp and organic cotton. After years of customer feedback, the US-based global sustainable brand have finally introduced its new line of hemp bras to its range.

“Hemp bras were our number one most requested product,” says founder Shakib Nassiri. “It took a while, but we finally now have two new hemp bra styles launched.”

Its range of hemp bras come in two styles, ‘Triangle Bralette’ and ‘Racerback Bralette’ evidently much more of a bralette than traditional bra as there are no underwires and no padding. “We wanted to make these hemp bras as comfortable as possible with a simple, minimalistic design.”

The Triangle Bralette is considered an ‘everyday’ bralette’; with a traditional fit that is designed for day-to-day wear and ideal for wearing under low-cut tops and dresses. The Racerback style is designed to function as a sports bra. Both styles feature supportive design incorporating double-layered fabric made with the brand’s signature hemp fabric blend; are available in sizes XS to 2XL, and is each priced at US$38.

“Our fabric materials always go through the same testing and quality control, testing for, composition, GSM (weight), shrinkage, colorfastness, etc,” explains Nassiri. “We went through a rigorous research and development process to create our first samples which were then tested by a few different people with different body types to ensure our hemp bras are functional for women of all shapes and sizes.”

WAMA’s hemp bras are only available in standard black, but the brand does plan to add more colors to its entire hemp underwear range, including its hemp bras, by the end of 2021.

So now that the brand has delivered on customer requests for a bra range, what has the response been like? “We have heard nothing but positive feedback so far and have received nothing but positive reviews of them on our website,” explains Nassiri.

“Our new hemp bras are selling so well that I’m afraid they will be sold out before we can restock them. If you’re in the market for a hemp bra, I recommend getting one quickly before they sell out.”
