“Years of Living Dangerously” the National Geographic and Acciona series highlights the effects of climate change and explores the available solutions to tackle it.

Produced by James Cameron, Jerry Weintraub and Arnold Schwarzenegger, this Emmy award winning series shows specific examples of the huge impact climate change has on the daily routines of people across the globe. From deforestation, energy crises, migration produced by natural disasters, desertification and biodiversity loss, we are shown the grim realities that face our species.

The series also features Hollywood stars and respected journalists who unite to raise awareness of these important including: Jack Black, Gisele Bündchen, Ty Burrell, David Letterman, Aasif Mandvi, Ian Somerhalder, Cecily Strong, Sigourney Weaver and Bradley Whitford.

The series will air on the National Geographic Channel on 25 November 2016 but we’re giving you the chance to see it sooner because…

Here’s what to expect if you win a double pass:

  • The Australian premiere of Years of Living Dangerously will be held at the Australian Centre for Moving Image (ACMI), Melbourne from 6.30pm on Tuesday 15th November, 2016.
  • You’ll be one of the first around the globe to see the latest episode, featuring Actor Don Cheadle in California experiencing the worst drought in 1,200 years; and New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman who travels to the remote corners of the African Sahel.
  • Following the screening there is a special panel discussion on climate change featuring Australian author, journalist and television presenter, Indira Naidoo; Director of Australian Youth Climate Coalition, Kirsty Albion; and Managing Director of ACCIONA’s Energy Division in Australia, Andrew Thomson.
  • And last but not least, I’ll be there too so I’ll get to meet you in person!
