In the last 6 months I’ve received several requests from followers wanting me to create more of my YouTube videos.
Here’s the latest Twitter request I received from the lovely girls at Oh So Ethical:
Other followers have been more specific, emailing me to request I do more video tours of my home, the gardens and farm surrounds. Others have asked for videos where I provide more details of my daily sustainable living habits.
I am still surprised at these requests because the videos I created last year are so amateurish and I look (and felt) so awkward.
But I guess that’s the appeal right? It’s unscripted and gives you a much better idea of who I am, what I’m like, how I dress, how I talk. Being on film makes me more real.
At least, I think that’s why people watch videos, particularly those by bloggers. I honestly don’t watch many YouTube video blogs myself. I’m a writer and I have a massive bias towards the written word.
Anyway, be warned loyal readers: This year you will see a lot more of my face and hear a lot more of my voice..!
So here’s the first two videos of a video series that I recorded just the other day to give you an idea of my sustainable country life. Excuse the second video blog post. I recorded these on my iPhone and when I uploaded the second I accidentally uploaded the standard version and not the HD version. As my wifi internet speed is like dial-up I wasn’t going to go through that again. It is what it is.
Anyhow, I may have turned my back on my urban Melbourne chic life, but I took the best part with me: My sense of style.
