Eco Warrior Princess: The Best of 2015

Jennifer Nini - Eco Warrior Princess
Written by Jennifer Nini

As we close out the year and start making plans for 2016, I thought I should take a moment from my usual posts to reflect on what an incredible year it has been.

2015 has been a marvellous one for Eco Warrior Princess.

We saw a heap of  changes this past year; we turned into a multi-contributor platform, we added an eco directory and we hired some amazing team members.

We also learned a lot of lessons; we learned that there is a spectrum of “eco” people (some are pseudo green, some are a hint of green and others really are green), that working harder doesn’t necessarily mean working smarter, that planning is crucial to execution and that spending money on software and talent is necessary to growth.

Despite the many challenges, we also had lots of successes; we published our very first YouTube videos, we celebrated our 5th birthday, we hosted our biggest giveaway yet (in terms of contestants and prize value), we reached 6000 followers on Instagram, we launched our very first eBook and after losing nearly all our subscribers when the RSS feed went down after launching the new-look website in late 2014, we were able to claw it back to 481 subscribers (as of today – and thanks MailChimp!).

Every year it gets better and better and I have YOU to thank for this.

If you’re on my email list you’d already know that I owe all of these “wins” to you. If you haven’t read my last email yet (or you’re not a subscriber, tsk tsk) here’s a snippet:

“Thank YOU for reading our blog posts (and emails), watching our videos, commenting, emailing, connecting, sharing and contributing your own thoughts to issues that matter, for supporting ethical brands and other important campaigns and causes. Eco Warrior Princess wouldn’t be what it is without you.”

And so after a truly wonderful year, we’ve gathered our 10 most popular posts (based on views, comments and shares) and my favourite looks from 2015.

We hope they make you smile, laugh, think and infuse you with the passion and desire to create a better world, a world that is kinder, healthier and a whole lot greener.
