I am a hippie at heart. But I don't look like one.

I don't have very long messy golden hair. I shave my underarms. I wear make up. And I prefer wearing two-inch heels.

So for our first fashion shoot, we wanted to dispel the image of a stereotypical hippie and modernise the concept. Needless to say, given our personalities, it was a very relaxed and down to Earth photo shoot which was perfect for a sustainable fashion shoot really.

Our first sustainable fashion collaboration for the Future Threads Project was an exciting experience for Megan O'Malley, founder of Rex Loves Vintage and myself. Megan played stylist, her tall, sickeningly gorgeous friend played model whilst I played the role of photographer.

And I know I can be a little extreme at times with my sustainability ideals and pro vegetarianism however looking over the images I really think we made eco fashion more palatable for the wider audience.

There was no sight of dread locks, tie dye or bare foot goodness. There were also no divas. No tantrums. None of those fashion shoot nightmares. Just good old fashioned light-hearted fun. My favourite type of creative atmosphere!

We hope you like love the images and we hope that it encourages you to avoid the boring, sterile shopping center in favour of the independent, sustainable designer.

Fingers crossed! Here's hoping! xx
